Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to customers and users of Brink Industries & Development hosting, infrastructure, and related services. It supplements our Terms of Service. Violations may result in suspension or termination of services.

1. General Principles

You must use our services in a lawful, ethical, and responsible manner. You may not use Brink infrastructure to harm others, compromise security, or engage in abusive activity.

2. Prohibited Content

You may not host, transmit, or distribute content that:

• Is illegal under applicable law
• Infringes intellectual property or other third-party rights
• Promotes terrorism, violent extremism, or severe harm
• Constitutes child sexual exploitation or abuse material (zero tolerance)
• Is fraudulent, deceptive, or used for phishing / credential harvesting
• Contains malware, ransomware, or intentionally harmful code
• Violates export controls, sanctions, or regulated industry rules applicable to you

3. Prohibited Activities

You may not:

• Launch or participate in DDoS attacks or network abuse
• Scan, probe, or exploit systems without authorization
• Send spam or unsolicited bulk email through our systems
• Operate open proxies, open relays, or anonymous abuse platforms
• Mine cryptocurrency on shared hosting resources without written approval
• Resell or reallocate resources in ways that degrade shared infrastructure without authorization
• Circumvent usage limits, security controls, or billing measures
• Use services to store or process highly regulated data (e.g., certain health or payment card data) unless agreed in writing with appropriate controls

4. Resource Fair Use

Shared hosting plans are subject to fair use. Sustained excessive CPU, memory, bandwidth, or storage that harms other customers may require plan upgrades, throttling, or migration to dedicated resources.

5. Security Obligations

You are responsible for:

• Keeping CMS, plugins, dependencies, and applications updated
• Using strong credentials and protecting API keys
• Promptly responding to security notices from Brink
• Not introducing known vulnerable software intentionally

6. Email & Messaging

If email or messaging features are provided, you must comply with anti-spam laws (including CAN-SPAM and similar rules), honor unsubscribe requests, and maintain valid contact information.

7. Enforcement

Brink may investigate suspected violations and take action including warnings, content removal, traffic filtering, suspension, termination, and reporting to authorities. We may act immediately for severe threats (malware, attacks, illegal content) without prior notice when necessary to protect the platform and others.

8. Reporting Abuse

Report abuse or AUP violations to abuse@brinkindustries.dev with relevant URLs, logs, and timestamps when available.

9. Changes

We may update this AUP as threats and practices evolve. Continued use of hosting after updates constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
